Event Overview:
Embark on a challenging 8.5-mile hike to the summit of North Franklin Peak, the highest point in El Paso, in celebration of National Summit Day. This strenuous trek is designed for experienced hikers. Please assess your fitness level before registering.

HIKE DETAILS:
Duration: Approximately 4 to 6 hours
Pace: Moderate and consistent, with short breaks
Lunch Break: Extended rest at the summit for lunch and photography
Park Entry & Reservations:
Fee: $5 park entrance fee; free for Texas State Park Pass holders
Reservation: Mandatory prior reservation via Reserve America. Ensure you have a printed reservation confirmation for park entry.
Note: The park office opens at 7:00 AM; reservations must be completed online or by phone in advance to ensure timely entry.
